You guys are overreacting. Sure, that may be what it orginated as, but meanings change. Gay used to just mean happy and now it’s used to describe something or someone, usually in a derogatory fashion. It’s also used to describe a person who is homosexual. Words have lots of different meanings and in this case, Derp is being used, as it is now, to describe peoples’ (in this case, my) clumsy and awkward ways.
